Launched in 2021, Blokes is a telehealth business providing science-backed optimization for all, with focus on 4 pillars (deep dive diagnostic labs, hormone therapies, peptide therapies, and supplements) to empower patients and effectuate results. We build community with like-minded people who want to be proactive in owning their own health journey. We also prioritize personalized service by including a coach for every patient to enhance quality of care.

Blood Draw

We don’t require you to draw blood on a specific day of the month. When interpreting labs for your follow-up we are looking at ranges, ratios, symptoms, and goals.

It can take anywhere between a few days to a few weeks to get your results.

Getting enough blood for a sample can only take a few minutes.

You can minimize discomfort during your blood draw with these tips:

  • Take deep, calming breaths.
  • Look away from the poke site.
  • Engage in conversation.
  • Consider numbing cream.
  • Stay still.

Here are some steps you can take to have a smooth blood draw:

  • Avoid strenuous exercise for two days.
  • Fast for at least 12 hours.
  • Schedule a morning appointment.
  • Abstain from alcohol for at least 24 hours.
  • Avoid taking supplements for 24 hours.
  • Keep taking your prescribed medication as directed by your doctor.
  • Stay hydrated.

You’ll want to fast for 12 hours; coffee and water are OK.

Health Coaches

Please reach out to our main email channel at either info@blokes.co or info@choosejoi.co.

We always appreciate feedback! We would love a review from you and would appreciate any feedback you have. We are constantly working to improve processes and provide the best experience for our patients. Reviews not only help us, but they can help guide other potential patients as well. If you have time to leave us reviews on TrustPilot, we would really appreciate it!

We use HIPAA-protected electronic health record platforms that secure your data.

While it’s always our priority to make sure your questions and needs are taken care of, sometimes it can take up to 24 hours to respond to emails. If you have sent an email from Monday through Friday, these requests will typically get handled within 24 hours. If it is sent past clinical hours on Friday or during the weekend, we will respond on Monday.

Your information resides in our patient portal. If you have any additional questions, please contact your health coach directly.

If you are meeting with a health coach for an initial consultation, they are going to have a conversation with you about what your health goals are, any side effects you may be experiencing, and what medications you are interested in. They will also help identify any goals you have regarding your health.

Our health coaches have training in all of our offerings and go by protocols passed down from our medical advisor. Through the conversation you have with your health coach, a treatment plan will be constructed to help you feel your best and meet your goals.

This depends on what medications you are on but your coaches are accessible by phone and email as needed.

  • If you are a weight loss patient, you meet with your health coach at least once every four weeks. If you require extra assistance or demonstrations on how to inject, this frequency may increase.
  • If you are a peptide patient, you would meet with your health coach once every six weeks, or more if needed.
  • If you are an HRT patient, you would not be meeting with a health coach, only a provider.

If you feel that you need an appointment more often, please let your health coach know.

Our health coaches have degrees in nutrition, exercise science, and psychology, and some are even registered dietitians (RDs) and registered nurses (RNs).

Most health coaches function in the role of go-between for patient and provider, and oversee patient care, mitigate side effects, modify dosage for certain medications, and offer diet and lifestyle advice, based on the criteria provided by our medical advisors.

This depends on the appointment type but in every appointment, you’ll be asked about your goals, symptoms and any success in the past with certain approaches. We do our best to customize our approach to each individual’s needs and desires.

If you have an initial consultation for weight loss medications or peptides, your meeting would consist of having a conversation with your health coach about what you are interested in, an exchange of information about your goals, what benefits you are looking for, etc. Once a prescription is decided on, we will give you information about the method of administration, any potential side effects, and best practices for starting out.

Currently, we are not able to accommodate special requests for specific health coaches. However, our health coaches are extremely qualified and have degrees in nutrition, exercise science, and psychology, with some even being registered dietitians (RDs) and registered nurses (RNs).

Insurance

We do have insurance-pay options for both HRT for women (only estrogen and progesterone) and for GLP-1/GIP FDA approved weight loss medications and type 2 diabetes for both genders. These medications are Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjara, and more. Our labs, supplements, and peptides are not covered by insurance. We also accept HSA/FSA. Unfortunately, we don’t accept care credit at this time.

We can help with prior authorizations while determining the right medication and submitting to your insurance, but we do not take the insurance itself. Look at us in this instance as your concierge platform for coverage in this one special category. Oftentimes, our labs, therapies and approaches are considered preventative care which is rarely covered by insurance.

Lab Work

Yes, we need your labs to prescribe medications.

If they are within the past 90 days, we can send you an email where you can attach your current lab results (be sure and make sure your name and date of birth is listed on those results for those to be considered valid), and then we will attach those to your file so the provider will have those.

For men, our lab markers are CBC (Complete Blood Count), CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel), Total Testosterone, Estradiol, and the prostate-specific antigen, A1C, SHBG, and LH.

If you have not been on hormonal support, the labs may be from the last 3-6 months. If on hormonal support, labs need to be within the last 90 days.

Medications

We currently use Strive, Southlake, Tailormade, Empower, and The Pharmacy Hub.

Unfortunately, we cannot treat patients with any active forms of cancer.

All of our injections are subcutaneous, or in the fatty tissue. Typically patients choose to give themselves injections in their lower abdomen, but any fatty tissue (abdomen, love handles, inner/outer thigh, or back of the arm) will work. If it’s BPAC, you would want to inject as close as you can to the injury site where you can still pinch a little bit of fat to inject into.

Yes. Even though it doesn’t look like a lot, it will last for the amount of time we quoted when you purchased it if you follow the dosing guidelines.

This is not uncommon in summer months. The medication has been tested to withstand extreme temperatures during shipping for up to 7 days and still be stable, so there should be no problem. Just make sure you put it in the refrigerator as soon as possible once you get it.

Yes! You can either put it in your carry-on or in your checked luggage. Make sure that if it is a prescription that should be refrigerated that you pack it with insulation or something cold, like an ice pack. You should make sure you have the prescription box that it comes in so they can identify what it is and that it’s prescribed to you. Also, please make sure that your syringes are with your prescription.

Payments

Our pricing is very competitive and includes provider visits, laboratory panels, supplies, education, medications, and convenient telehealth visits to ensure optimal treatment. If you would like to review pricing prior to scheduling, we can connect you with our Patient Liaison to discuss.

We offer prepaid plans with incentives as well as quarterly payment plans for treatments.

We can offer financing through Affirm to help make it more affordable. Here is the link to apply: https://www.affirm.com/shop/blokes. Make sure to put the exact amount of your invoice when you apply. Once you’re approved, you’ll get a temporary card that you can use to pay your invoice. If your total is paid off within 12 months, there’s zero interest.

No, we do not. We only accept cards that have a Visa, Mastercard or American Express logo on them.

Use your HSA/FSA card to checkout online and we will email you a copy of your prescription, itemized receipt, and letter of medical necessity.

We can take an FSA/HSA as long as you have a card for it with a Visa/Mastercard logo and can provide an itemized receipt upon request.

Referrals and Partnerships

We are always on the hunt for people who share our love of health and wellness. Fill out this form and let us know why you’re the perfect fit for our ambassador team.

Yes! If you refer a friend and they purchase a prescription, both you and them will receive $50 off your treatment.

Refills

Yes, a prescription is associated with every medication refill.

If you have questions or issues with your refill, please reach out to the support team at info@blokes.co

Depending on which pharmacy carries out the prescription, tracking information can be found in the patient portal once available. If tracking information is not found in the patient portal, please reach out to support at info@blokes.co.

This is dependent on your subscription type and medications included. Most of the medications we offer will be delivered to your door.

Caveat: the A La Carte HRT subscription for female patients only includes the prescriptions and not the medications. The patient will pay out of pocket for these medications at their local pharmacy.

Refill requests are processed the next day by the team. Total processing time is generally 5-7 days including internal/pharmacy/shipping.

If you are on a subscription, you can request a refill of your medication in the patient portal under Home>Subscriptions>”Ship ASAP”. If you are not on a subscription, please reach out to your assigned health coach (name@blokes.co) to request a refill.

Refunds

If you have issues with a refund request, please reach our support team at info@blokes.co.

To check the status of a refund request, please reach our support team at info@blokes.co.

A refund can be issued one of three ways: Apply credit toward a future subscription payment, create a gift card credit, process a cash refund. If applicable, exercise the first two options before processing a cash refund.

Processing a refund will take between 3-5 business days.

All diagnostic lab sales and lab subscription sales are final and cannot be refunded.

Subscriptions to include hormone therapy, clomiphene, or enclomiphene can be canceled at any time. The subscription cannot be refunded – all sales are final.

The GLP-1 subscription can be canceled at any time. If you are not a candidate or approved for GLP-1 medication, your subscription will be canceled, and we will work with you to find another solution. The subscription fees already paid cannot be refunded, all sales are final.

We cannot accept returns of prescription products. All sales are final. If you think there was an error with your prescription medication, please contact our support team at info@blokes.co

Shipping

You can expect to receive your prescription drugs from one of our partnered pharmacies.  Currently, we are partnered with multiple compounding pharmacies to dispense your prescription drugs to your door. This is dependent on the state you reside.

No, our pharmacies don’t accept returns for medications once they have shipped. If you do need to cancel before it ships, we can offer a refund.

Tracking information for blended supplements, smart supplements, merchandise, and medications from certain pharmacies will display in the patient portal when available. If it’s not there, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t ordered or shipping – it simply means that we may not have an API connection with the pharmacy that your meds were ordered from. We do our best to ensure our technology connects to all pharmacies but we cannot guarantee this is the case for every prescription.

It depends on the pharmacy, but typically about 7-10 days. For Smart Supplements, it can take up to 7-10 days. For Blended Supplements, it typically takes less than a week.

No, we are not. We are only licensed to treat and ship medications within the US.

Third-party testing and COA

We do not perform any additional testing outside of FDA requirements.  Requirements are comprehensive.

The suppliers that they purchase finished goods from test their incoming raw materials.

Supplement suppliers provide Heavy Metal test results with every lot of products.

They don’t purchase ingredients, only finished products, therefore, they don’t monitor ingredient suppliers – that is done by the finished goods suppliers.  All of the suppliers are GMP certified and fully qualified by our partner manufacturer.

Our supplier uses more than one testing laboratory.  All laboratories used are ISO certified and fully qualified by our supplier Quality Team.

Treatments

Adults over 18 years of age can use our services.

We do not. An endocrinologist is more specialized in this treatment.

We offer testing and treatment options for our therapies in all fifty states. If available in your area, we will send a phlebotomist to your home. For unserviceable addresses, we will set you up in one of our 5,000 walk-in lab draw stations.

Clomiphene

Benefits of TRT

Some benefits of TRT include:

● Increased energy
● Decreased irritability and depression
● Improved muscle mass and strength
● Improved sexual desire
● Improved visuospatial cognitive function and verbal memory
● Higher motivation
● Decreased body fat (optimal results received through accompaniment of a diligent diet and exercise regimen)
● Possible improvement in erectile function
● Thicker skin

How to take

No, it can be at room temperature.

No, you cannot adjust the dosage on your own. Always involve a clinician to adjust any dosing. When dosing adjustments are necessary, it will always involve your clinician’s guidance. This will require an assessment of symptoms and labs. If you are feeling any negative symptoms simply let your clinician know.

Split dosing is when a patient takes more than one injection per week. In many cases, twice per week.

Use as directed by your provider. In most cases you will be instructed to inject once or twice weekly, but this can be discussed with your provider.

While we consider injections are your best option through either intramuscular or subcutaneous methods, we understand that some guys just don’t want to do needles. We do offer alternatives (such as creams, troches, and capsules). It’s best to discuss with your provider about the different options we have and what might be best for you.

Lab work

Clomiphene or Enclomiphene can be used orally.

Most men see results in three to six months, but full optimization typically takes a year of more optimized testosterone levels and reduction of symptoms. Studies in men have shown safety up to 3 years of use at 25-50 mg/d.

Measuring your total testosterone because hormone levels naturally fluctuate throughout the day and are typically highest in the morning and lowest in the evening. A morning measurement ensures that your test is providing the most favorable picture of your baseline total testosterone. If testosterone levels are low even when they’re supposed to be at their highest (in the morning), it’s much more likely that levels are truly low.

We offer testing and treatment options for our therapies in all fifty states. If we cannot ship testosterone to your state, we have other options for testosterone replacement such as clomiphene.

We send your lab results as soon as we hear from the lab that they are all finalized. Depending on how big of a panel you have purchased, you can expect to get your results anywhere from 2-3 days to two weeks after your blood draw.

This is highly dependent on what state you live in and the availability of the provider(s) licensed in your state. Right now we are seeing patients scheduling 1-3 weeks out after lab results are finalized.

We send your lab results as soon as we hear from the lab that they are all finalized.

You will be prompted to get a lab draw at 4 weeks after starting treatment and then every 90 days after that.

Yes, we honor your previous labs from a different clinician. As long as they are within the past six months, we can use those as a guide for your treatment.

Yes, we just need completed labs within 60 days. We can also run new labs on you if these haven’t been completed.

Payment

We do not offer an insurance option for TRT. For enclomiphene/clomiphene, they are prescribed for off-label use, so insurance would not cover.

Initial lab draw is $149 and subsequent draws are included. Our payment plans for testosterone replacement therapy start at only $165 a month. If labs are not required, then the consultation fee is $59.

Risks and Contraindications

Do not use TRT if you are trying to conceive. Use as directed and carefully follow directions on the package.

Side effects may include acne, hair growth on the face and body, hair loss on the head, and/or weight gain. If you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, weakness in limbs, or dizziness after taking testosterone, call your healthcare provider immediately.

Treatment

Every guy is different, but most guys report a noticeable difference in sex drive and energy within a few weeks or months of starting treatment. Because some symptoms can take months to see improvements, we typically tell patients to wait 6-12 months before you are at an optimal level for you.

Most traditional doctors do not focus on optimal ranges but larger more general ranges by the greater public that is tested. Oftentimes, this greater generalization includes patients that are not performing their best so you can have a very vast range. For example, most doctors will consider optimal ranges between 250 ng/dl to 1,000 ng/dl while we focus on higher ranges for optimization. Typically, between 700-1200 ng/dl.

Patients can experience many low testosterone symptoms even though their number generally falls in the ‘normal’ range. Testosterone has a very general range of 156ng/dL-1200ng/dL and there are general ranges broken down inside that range that are based on your age. Many primary care providers lean on the general recommendation of what’s ‘normal’. We take a different approach and look at what is optimal for you versus just diagnosing from a number. One guy can feel great at 500 and another guy can have many of the symptoms.

To determine a diagnosis of hypogonadism or low testosterone, the medical professionals at Blokes will first confirm your symptoms while having your blood test results. If your total or free testosterone is below the Blokes optimal range, you may be diagnosed as hypogonadal.

It varies in all men, but most men perform their best with levels between 700-1200 ng/dl.

Understanding TRT

No, you don’t. However, most men who start taking TRT feel the benefits quickly and want to maintain those benefits. It’s important to note that the body stops making its own production of testosterone when relying on an exogenous form of testosterone. This does not mean that your body will stop making it once you stop. It simply means that your body becomes dependent when on any form of exogenous testosterone. If you decide to stop taking TRT, we can advise on an optimal pathway to do so. We will involve your assigned clinician if you decide to stop taking testosterone replacement.

No, you should not take TRT if you are trying to have children. We would always advise on other ways to increase testosterone if fertility is in the future with SERMs or naturally.

Yes, this is common. However, there are ways to mitigate this with other therapies when taking at the same time. Talk with your health coach to learn more.

Some men experience this condition. There are ways to mitigate this condition and something that can be discussed with your clinician.

This is something that happens when testosterone levels rise, and some men will experience this more than others. We will go through labs to help you determine the next steps (such as a therapeutic phlebotomy).

Yes, in most cases they will rise relative to your testosterone level rising. This is not concerning as you want to maintain healthy estrogen levels.

Any form of testosterone replacement is exogenous, meaning from outside sources, rather than being produced in your body.

Hypogonadism in a male refers to a decrease in either testosterone production, sperm production, or both.

Testosterone is a hormone made by the body that is responsible for the normal growth and development of the male sex organs and for maintenance of other sexual characteristics. In men, testosterone is produced in the testes, the reproductive glands that also produce sperm. The amount of testosterone produced by the testes is regulated by the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland.

Treatment

Transition from TRT to enclomiphene can happen seamlessly by adjusting TRT dosing as enclomiphene kicks in. This can be gradual over a few months. At Blokes, we prefer to individualize it to your blood levels, how much TRT you’re on and your overall goals. We would discuss in detail during your visit.

Taking HRT is a lifelong commitment. If you stop, your hormone levels will go below your baseline because your hormone production gets “lazy” about producing once you take HRT.

Every woman is different but estrogen and progesterone benefits can be felt in as little as 1-7 days.  Testosterone usually takes longer at about 4 weeks. To experience the full benefits of HRT, it is best to be patient and know that dosing adjustments may need to be made to find the correct levels for your individual needs.

GHK-Cu Face Cream

Estrodial is the more medical term for estrogen. The terms “estrogen” and “estradiol” are used interchangeably.

Yes, this should be refrigerated.

For best results, apply twice daily.

For men looking to tighten loose skin, reverse thinning of aged skin, repair protective skin barrier proteins, improve elasticity and clarity, and reduce fine lines, wrinkles.

A month supply or monthly subscription.

Get ready for advanced cellular regeneration for tighter skin, enhanced elasticity, reduced wrinkles, and the reversal of thinning skin.

GLP-1/GIP

GLP-1 medication

Dosing

It is a once-weekly subcutaneous injection.

The dose would start at 25 units suq 1x weekly- the vital would be 2ml (20mg) TOTAL of medication- each injection would be 0.25mls.

Dosing is dependent on each patient. Your clinician will always work with you to determine what dosing is right for you.

Due to the concentration of the medication, it is normal for the vial to be filled about 20% full.

Payment

GLP-1 medications are not included but your care team will work with you to get your medication covered by insurance. If insurance covers your medication, you may still be responsible for a copay.

Yes, insurance does require one of two criteria to be met: you either need to have a BMI over 30 or be Type II diabetic. We have a GLP-1 subscription that bills quarterly at $297. For that price, we would have you get your labs drawn to check your CMP and A1c, as insurance requires it. After that we will work on getting all the GLP-1 and GIP medications available approved through your insurance. We will let you know once we get the final word what has/has not been approved. Once you decide which one you would like, we will send it to the pharmacy of your choice. You would continue to pay the $297 quarterly for your prescription management and for your once-monthly follow-up appointments with us.

We can offer financing through Affirm to help make it more affordable, if you’d like. Here is the link to apply: https://www.affirm.com/shop/blokes. Make sure to put the exact amount of your invoice when you apply. Once you’re approved, you’ll get a temporary card that you can use to pay your invoice. If your total is paid off within 12 months, there’s zero interest.

Hormone replacement therapy subscription price ranges from $89/30 days to $567/90 days. GLP-1 medications are not billed on a subscription but ala carte. This is dosage dependent and the price ranges from $799-$1599.

Side effects

There has been no research to indicate there are any long-term side effects of continued use.

Tips

Here are 10 ways you can reach your goals while on a GLP-1.

  • Prioritize protein: Make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet. On average, you should consume 0.8 grams of protein for every kg of body weight, but this number can vary depending on your age, sex, and activity level.
  • Eat a balanced diet: Fill your plate with nutritious energy-boosting foods, such as whole grains, lean protein, healthy fats, and fruits and vegetables.
  • Track calories: Most people don’t understand the amount of calories they are actually consuming. It’s important to track your calories to start with a tool like MyFitness Pal or Chronometer, as this will give you a good pulse on how many calories you’re consuming.
  • Avoid alcohol: We recommend no drinking while on a GLP-1, as alcohol can wreak havoc on your results. If you do choose to drink, avoid beverages with heavy sugar content and focus on clear alcohol (such as vodka, gin, rum, and tequila) or organic wines (like Dry Farm Wines) instead.
  • Avoid ultra processed foods: Minimizing ultra processed foods in your diet (such as breakfast cereals, ready-made meals, cakes, pastries, soda, and packaged snacks) can significantly impact your weight loss journey. These foods are often high in added sugars, unhealthy fats, and empty calories, and can contribute to weight gain and other health issues.
  • Stay hydrated: Getting enough fluid helps manage appetite, supports digestion, and complements exercise. It’s recommended to drink at least 12 glasses of water every day.
  • Set realistic scale goals: Your body weight will fluctuate so don’t beat yourself up if your weight doesn’t improve daily. It’s a marathon, not a sprint! We recommend setting realistic monthly goals and tracking your progress by weighing in once a week.
  • Prioritize exercise: Movement of any sort is greatly beneficial for overall health. While swimming, running, and biking are wonderful exercises for heart health and overall physical activity, you can also track your steps. Experts recommend hitting a step count of 7,000 – 10,000 every day, but if you’re new to exercise, start small and slowly increase your activity levels.
  • Incorporate weight training: Studies suggest that muscle is the organ of longevity, and for good reason – building muscle helps you maintain strength and mobility as you age. Try to incorporate weight lifting exercises at least 3x/week to improve muscle tone.
  • Get enough sleep: Emerging research suggests that the quantity and quality of sleep can impact body weight, hormones, and metabolism. As such, experts recommend getting at least 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night for optimal health and well-being. If you struggle to fall (and stay) asleep, try using sleep aids like an eye mask, ear plugs, mouth tape, or certain supplements.
  • Limit stress: While occasional stress is normal, chronic stress can significantly affect your health and even impact your weight, both by thwarting weight loss and promoting unwanted weight gain. You can combat stress-related weight gain through positive lifestyle changes, such as mindful eating, meditation, and talking with a therapist.
  • Be patient: Losing weight takes time, so be kind to yourself during this process.

Treatment

For every 1 vial (2mL) it’s 200 units.

The drug has a half life of about a week so it will take 1 week to clear half of it from the body.

They are once-weekly injections.

GLP-1s help regulate blood sugar levels but the insulin effect only occurs in a glucose dependent fashion, so if sugars are normal, it won’t trigger the insulin release.

If you have cancer, we cannot prescribe anything for you at this time. If you’ve had a past history of medullary thyroid cancer, that would disqualify you from taking semaglutide.

Right now we do not take patients with diabetes. We would suggest being seen by a specialist like an endocrinologist instead.

This is a non-stimulant treatment that works as an appetite suppressant and metabolism booster.

There has been really great success with our patients who are on Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. Patients can see up to 15% body weight reduction in a calendar year.

Weight loss and lifestyle

No, you don’t have to. We work on optimizing your diet and lifestyle while you are taking the medication so that when you hit your weight loss goal, you can come off of it and still maintain your weight loss. If you go back to the same diet and lifestyle you had before, you will probably gain the weight back.

To experience the best results possible we recommend incorporating healthier eating habits and moving your body. Prioritizing protein, healthy fats and fiber as well as reducing the amount of processed foods is highly recommended.

Due to the beneficial lifestyle changes Semaglutide and Tirzepatide promote, it is possible to stay at a consistent weight when you get off of the medication. However, if you go back to poor eating and lifestyle habits, it is likely that weight gain will occur.

Depending on if you feel the need to continue maintaining your weight after you hit your goal or not, you can either take a maintenance dose (take a small dose that doesn’t cause you to lose weight but helps with cravings and portion sizes,) or you can titrate off of it. Another option is you can take sermorelin after titrating down to help, as well.

Most patients notice benefits within the first couple of weeks. Some will need a little more time before seeing significant results.

You will start on a lower dose and then titrate up every 4 weeks. It’s important to let your body get used to the medication before upping your dose. Many people will feel less hunger and reduced cravings within the first 24-48 hours.

The best method for losing weight is slow and steady. It’s important to use this therapy as one tool in the toolbox while working to upgrade diet and lifestyle habits.

They are once-weekly injections.

Semaglutide (Ozempic and Wegovy)

We can offer financing through Affirm to help make it more affordable, if you’d like. Here is the link to apply. Make sure to put the exact amount of your invoice when you apply. Once you’re approved, you’ll get a temporary card that you can use to pay your invoice. If your total is paid off within 12 months, there’s zero interest.

https://www.affirm.com/shop/blokes

Some of the patients stop using it once they hit their goal weight.  Katy Whalen uses it as a maintenance dose. Semaglutide is more than a weight loss medication, as research shows anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits.

It is an add-on, but it’s a combo that helps with weight loss. B12 + MIC is a fat burner and has been shown to help with muscle growth, energy, recovery, and more.

Our small vial lasts 1 month, the medium lasts for 2 months, and the large vial lasts 3-4 months.

The recommended maximum dosage is 50 units of the compounded GLP-1 medication. Your clinician will work with you to determine what dosing is right for you.

Semaglutide is an injectable medication administered subcutaneously through the fat. The most fatty parts of the body are the abdomen, side or back of upper arms, and front of thighs. We provide insulin sized needs making injecting easy and painless.

Yes, it needs to stay cold. Once your shipment arrives, please put it directly into your refrigerator.

Some possible side effects include:

  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Bloating
  • Heartburn
  • Stomach discomfort
  • Fullness

These side effects can be highly dosage-dependent. We start you off at a conservative dose and work with you if you’re experiencing any of these side effects.

Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) analog. GLP-1 is a hormone naturally produced in the small intestine that stimulates insulin secretion and inhibits glucagon secretion, thereby lowering blood sugar. There are many forms of semaglutide in the market like Ozempic and Wegovy.

Studies show that semaglutide reduces appetite, improves control of eating, and reduces food cravings in addition to improving glycemic control. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) incretin hormone that helps the pancreas release insulin, which in turn helps the body control blood sugar levels.

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro and Zepbound)

Our large size lasts for 2 months.

Dosing is dependent on each patient. Your clinician will always work with you to determine what dosing is right for you.

Tirzepatide should be stored in the refrigerator to maintain its efficacy and stability. According to the manufacturer’s guidelines, Tirzepatide should be stored in a refrigerator at 36°F to 46°F. It should not be frozen. Freezing can damage the medication and make it ineffective. If Tirzepatide is left out of the refrigerator for a short period, it can usually be returned to the refrigerator. However, if it has been left out at room temperature for more than 14 days, it should be discarded according to the manufacturer’s instructions. When you are ready to use it, you should let the medication reach room temperature before injection to reduce discomfort. Always follow the specific storage instructions provided by the pharmacy for your medication, and consult us if you have any concerns about storage conditions.

Tirzepatide is an injectable medication administered subcutaneously through the fat. The most fatty parts of the body are the abdomen, side or back of upper arms, and front of thighs. We provide insulin-sized needles making injecting easy and painless.

Some possible side effects include:

  • Difficulty in breathing or swallowing
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Gaseous stomach pain
  • Heartburn
  • Recurrent fever
  • Skin itching, rash, or redness
  • Stomach fullness
  • Swelling of the face, throat, or tongue
  • Vomiting
  • Yellow eyes or skin
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea

These side effects can be highly dosage-dependent. We start you off at a conservative dose and work with you if you’re experiencing any of these side effects.

Tirzepatide combines two classes of medications: GLP-1 and GIP whereas semaglutide is just the GLP-1. In some studies, Tirzepatide was found to be superior in treating diabetes patients to semaglutide. It works by mimicking the effects of incretin hormones–or, hormones that are released after eating that regulate the amount of insulin your pancreas secretes and lowers the amount of glucose your liver makes. In short, this helps you to feel fuller longer, slow down digestion, and lowers your blood sugar. The most common form of Tirzepatide is Monjauro.

Understanding Glutathione

You will start to see and/or feel less inflammation happening within 24 hours of your injection. Your liver will also have that immediate antioxidant assistance to decrease inflammation and help clear the liver of congestion.

Glutathione is an antioxidant that is vitally essential to maintaining a healthy immune system, and is present in every cell in the body. It combines three amino acids to produce a peptide that is not only a powerful antioxidant but also performs several critical roles in the body. Furthermore, it can help maintain good physical health by neutralizing free radicals, which can cause cellular damage through oxidation.

A week after you get your blood work done, you will receive a scheduling link to meet with a health coach. Depending on schedules, you could expect to see a health coach within 1-3 weeks to go over results.

Lab work

A week after you get your blood work done, you will receive a scheduling link to meet with a health coach. Depending on schedules, you could expect to see a health coach within 1-3 weeks to go over results.

Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, SHBG, FSH, LH

We send your lab results as soon as we hear from the lab that they are all finalized.

We will send you a text to get your labs drawn 30 days after starting treatment. When all of your results are back, we will send you another text with a booking link to schedule your follow-up lab review. After that we will do the same process every 90 days.

If you have not been on hormonal support, the labs can be from the last 3-6 months. If on hormonal support, labs need to be within the last 90 days. Email labs to info@choosejoi.co

NAD+

Benefits

You can typically feel the NAD+ working immediately, as it’s working on a cellular level to release the energy from your cells. You should notice a warm, all-over sensation after inhaling and also feel more energetic and focused.

Studies show that replenishing NAD+ levels:

● Improve energy levels
● Boost metabolism
● Reduce fatigue
● Improve mental clarity
● Aid in DNA repair
● Promote brain function
● Slows down the aging process
● Reduce the risk of age-related diseases

How to take

We would not recommend dosing up past what is recommended. However, you can take less than prescribed if you are dealing with any side effects or feeling like you don’t need as much.

For injectables, inject 1x weekly. Please check your medication for specific dosing.

NAD+ is administered through subcutaneous injection, spray, and creams. Please check your medication for specific dosing.

As with all peptides, you are able to be on them for as long as you would like to continue to see the benefits. If you are enjoying the benefits of more energy, better skin quality, and DNA repair, we would encourage you to continue to use it.

A 3 month supply and subscription for injectables, or a 1 month supply and subscription for a nasal spray.

Payment

We do not take insurance nor work with insurance for our peptides, but you are more than welcome to use your FSA/HSA account to pay for the out-of-pocket expense.

It is $140 for the NAD+ nasal spray, and $300 – $375 for NAD+ injections.

Risks and Contraindications

NAD+ via injection and nasal spray is generally well-tolerated. Injection site reactions (redness/swelling) are fairly common but if you experience any of the following please discontinue use and contact your provider: headache, shortness of breath, constipation.

Treatment

You get an injection once a week that will last 90 days.

It will last 90 days.

NAD+ is administered through subcutaneous injection and spray. Please check your medication for specific dosing.

Peptides are generally easy to prescribe, as there aren’t many contraindications for them and have few side effects. If you determine this is something that may help you, you can order off the website or speak to a health coach or provider about it for more of a thorough evaluation.

For men looking to boost metabolism, slow down the aging process, and reduce the risk of age-related diseases.

Understanding NAD+

NAD+ does not interfere with your fertility, but as with all peptides, we suggest stopping use one month before trying to conceive.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells that is essential in key physiological processes in our bodies. As we get older, NAD+ production slows down, leading to mental and physical fatigue. One of the ways to supplement declining NAD+ is through NAD+ Therapy.

Oxytocin Nasal Spray

Benefits

You can typically feel the relaxing benefit of oxytocin right away.

Oxytocin aka ‘the love drug’, is a hormone secreted in the hypothalamus and released into the bloodstream by the pituitary gland. In the brain, it acts as a chemical messenger and has an important role in many human behaviors including recognition, trust, emotional bonding and romantic attachment. Oxytocin is released during intercourse, by both men and women, which leads to the belief that it is involved in sexual bonding. It also has a stress-buffering effect which inhibits stress-induced HPA activity and decreases cortisol levels.

How to take

No, you cannot adjust the dosage on your own. Always involve a clinician to adjust any dosing. When dosing adjustments are necessary, it will always involve your clinician’s guidance. This will require an assessment of symptoms and labs. If you are feeling any negative symptoms simply let your clinician know.

As with all peptides, you are able to be on them for as long as you would like to continue to see the benefits. If you are enjoying the benefits, we would encourage you to continue to use it.

This can be taken via nasal inhalation. Please check your medication for specific dosing.

For men looking to improve stress response, balance cortisol, enhance mood, and promote bonding.

A month supply or monthly subscription.

You can take one inhale per nostril every day. Please check your medication for specific dosing.

Payment

We do not take insurance nor work with insurance for our peptides, but you are more than welcome to use your FSA/HSA account to pay for the out-of-pocket expense.

A single order is $199/month, whereas a subscription (billed monthly) is $159/month.

Risks and Contraindications

If you experience these side effects, stop using the product and talk to your healthcare provider as soon as possible:

● Allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, breathing problems
● Excessive or continuing vaginal bleeding, fast, irregular heartbeat
● Feeling faint or lightheaded, falls
● High blood pressure, seizures
● Unusual bleeding or bruising
● Unusual swelling
● Sudden weight gain

Understanding Oxytocin Nasal Spray

In the brain, it acts as a chemical messenger and has an important role in many human behaviors including recognition, trust, emotional bonding and romantic attachment. Oxytocin is released during intercourse, by both men and women, which leads to the belief that it is involved in sexual bonding. Payment

Yes, but only for estradiol and progesterone. Commercial pharmacies like Rite-Aid and Walgreen don’t carry female doses of testosterone. You would need to order through our compounding pharmacy. We have an ‘a la carte’ program that is $89 a month where we would call in your prescription to your local pharmacy. This price does not include labs. Those would have to be purchased separately.

  • A la carte: $89 a month and includes medical oversight, provider visits and prescription care. We will send your prescriptions to your pharmacy of choice.
  • Hormone labs: $99 and come with a functional health report.
  • All-inclusive: $189 a month and includes all care with treatments shipped to your door.

Peptides

GH releasing peptides tells your body to release more of its own growth hormone. Growth hormone is at its highest when we are middle school aged. Levels decline with age. GH helps with deeper sleep, glowing skin, more energy, ability to build lean muscle mass, reduction of stubborn fat and faster recovery.

If you have high blood pressure, you should be careful with pt-141 because it can have the potential to drop blood pressure, especially if you are already taking blood pressure medications. Talk with your health coach to see if this option is right for you.

Yes! You are allowed to travel with medication and syringes.

You can get off treatment any time you choose. To see the full results of GH peptides we recommend a treatment cycle of at least 3 months. We also recommend cycling off peptides, usually at the 6 month mark. This gives your receptors a break, allows your body to reset and allows you to see what benefits you are seeing from the peptides.

The best time to take GH releasing peptides is at night right before bed. When you sleep is when you recover and replenish the most amount of growth hormone. However, some patients prefer to take first thing in the morning which is also a good option. We recommend waiting 90 minutes before eating so your insulin response will not counter the effects. Even better would be to take the peptide, do a workout, and then eat.

All peptides are labeled with an expiration date 28 days out from date of compounding due to FDA regulations.

Yes, any of our offerings can be taken together aside from PT-141 and The Mood.

For healthy individuals, peptide supplements are unlikely to cause serious side effects because they are similar to the peptides present in everyday foods. However, some side effects of topical creams and ointments may cause skin sensitivity, rash, and itching. Nasal spray peptides can sometimes cause a slight headache. Injections can cause minor skin irritations.

How long a single order lasts depends on the peptide type, the dosage, and how frequently it is administered.

The time it takes to see results from peptide therapy varies. Furthermore, results vary depending on factors like dosage, the specific peptide, and personal health.

Rapamycin (Sirolimus)

Benefits

● Promotes a longer and healthier lifespan
● Improves metabolic health
● Strengthens immune function
● Helps boost overall energy levels
● Improves skin health

How to take

No, you cannot adjust the dosage on your own. Always involve a clinician to adjust any dosing. When dosing adjustments are necessary, it will always involve your clinician’s guidance. This will require an assessment of symptoms and labs. If you are feeling any negative symptoms simply let your clinician know.

Generally, 5mg capsules taken once a week orally. New patients will be titrated up by clinician guidance. Providers may also cycle patients off for a short period of time.

Lab work

We send your lab results as soon as we hear from the lab that they are all finalized. Depending on how big of a panel you have purchased, you can expect to get your results anywhere from 2-3 days to two weeks after your blood draw.

Most patients find it easiest to get their labs drawn in the morning, due to the 12 hour fast they need for their labs. That being said, any time of day is fine as long as you are fasted for 12 hours.

We offer testing and treatment options for our therapies in all fifty states. If available in your area, we will send a phlebotomist to your home. For unserviceable addresses, we will set you up in one of our 5,000 walk-in lab draw stations.

A week after you get your blood work done, you will receive a scheduling link to meet with a health coach. Depending on schedules, you could expect to see a health coach within 4-6 weeks to go over results.

We send your lab results as soon as we hear from the lab that they are all finalized.

Risks and Contraindications

Possible side effects include sore or inflamed mouth, weakened immune system, anemia or fatigue, constipation or diarrhea, elevated lipid levels, high blood pressure, swollen hands or feet, low blood counts, high insulin, and/or low testosterone. Please contact us on the onset of any symptom you think may be related to treatment.

Understanding Rapamycin (Sirolimus)

The mTOR pathway, found in all cells, determines when a cell should grow and divide. However, with time, it can become too active, resulting in unchecked cell growth and compromised tissue health. Rapamycin is a direct inhibitor of the mTOR pathway. Low doses of rapamycin appear to reset mTOR activity to a more youthful state—active when needed and dormant when not required.

Cellular senescence is a process that results from a variety of stresses and leads to a state of irreversible growth arrest. Senescent cells accumulate during aging and have been implicated in promoting a variety of age-related diseases.

Rapamycin directly stimulates the cellular cleaning process known as autophagy, effectively clearing toxic debris and promoting cellular rejuvenation.

We prescribe sirolimus because it is more bioavailable than the compounded version of rapamycin.

Risks and Contraindications

If you currently have cancer, we cannot prescribe anything for you at this time. If you have had a history of cervical or breast cancer, we cannot prescribe testosterone or any other hormone treatment.

For the most part the risk to benefit ratio with progesterone is fairly low. You will be closely monitored and there should not be many risks to worry about. Progesterone is a fairly safe hormone to take.

While there are possible side effects with any medication or therapy, the short answer is yes. The 2002 WHI study that claimed HRT caused an increased risk of breast cancer and blood clots has been proven wrong. There are numerous studies proving that HRT is not only safe and effective for treating menopausal symptoms but it is preventative and protective over our heart, brain and bones. Sermorelin

Benefits

Sermorelin is a unique peptide that stimulates growth hormone release from the pituitary gland and can lead to a plethora of amazing benefits, such as:

● Decreased body fat
● Improved energy
● Better sleep

How to take

You can take sermorelin for as long as you’d like to see the benefits. We have a lot of patients that are on it in perpetuity to see the continuous benefits of quicker workout recovery and muscle-building, along with skin and hair health. It would be a personal decision for you for how long you would like to continue to take this peptide.

Sermorelin comes in a standard dose and doesn’t get increased. That being said, you are more than welcome to take less of a peptide should you feel the need to or are having adverse side effects.

Yes, you can safely take sermorelin if you are trying to conceive. It will not affect your fertility. We would suggest stopping all peptides one full cycle before you try to conceive if you’re a woman, and one full month before trying to conceive if you’re a man.

Take nightly before bed, 5 days on and 2 days off. Please check your medication for specific dosing.

Sermorelin can be injected or taken via troche (a small, hard tablet designed to dissolve slowly when placed under the tongue).

A 90 day supply and subscription for injectables, or a 90 day supply and subscription for troches.

Payment

We do not take insurance for any medications. We also do not have an insurance concierge program to work with insurance to get sermorelin. You are more than welcome to use your FSA or HSA card to pay, otherwise it would be an out-of-pocket expense.

A 3 month supply starts at $419.

Risks and Contraindications

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue).

Treatment

With any treatment, there will be immediate benefits and long-term benefits. Immediate benefits you can see are quicker recovery from workouts, better sleep, and better skin quality. The benefits that are more long-term are hair health and muscle-building.

We ask if there has been any history of cancer or benign tumor growth in your health history. This can include such cases as uterine fibroids, cysts, etc. We would not advise treatment of sermorelin if there is a past history. Studies have shown that there can be some correlation to increasing growth and exacerbating this problem, but more studies still need to be done to determine if this is a causation. We err on the safe side and decline treatment if this is in your past health history.

For men looking to stimulate growth hormone release, decrease body fat, and improve sleep.

Sermorelin is a prescription medication and should only be used under the supervision of a qualified healthcare provider. It is legal when prescribed by a licensed medical professional for approved indications.

Understanding Sermorelin

There haven’t been enough studies done to determine if sermorelin would exacerbate any possible cancerous or non-cancerous growth. We would advise against it.

Sermorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog that has been found to aid in the body’s natural growth hormone processes. It does this by mimicking the action of GHRH, which signals the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone into the body, thus stimulating natural growth hormone production. This can help regulate GH levels, promote better sleep, decrease body fat, and boost energy.

Growth hormones play a role in maintaining normal body structure and metabolism and can help keep your blood sugar levels within a healthy range. However, aging or certain health conditions can lead to decreased production of growth hormones, so therapies like Sermorelin may prove beneficial.

Shipping

Typically, you should receive your medication within 10-14 business days.

Skin Cream

We recommend using this cream just as you would a regular moisturizer either in the morning or night after washing your face. One full pump daily will last you the length of the subscription.

Most studies show results after 12 weeks of applying twice daily.
You can read more about this here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6073405/

Peptides are short strings of amino acids, and might be more readily absorbed by the body compared to proteins due to their smaller size and simpler structure. Their ability to easily pass through the skin and intestinal lining allows them to enter the bloodstream more efficiently.

Some benefits of peptides may include healthy aging, reduced inflammation, and muscle growth.

Smart Supplements

No, the pricing doesn’t change.

There are 6-8 supplements, depending on what your labs indicate are necessary and your subscription option.

Certain supplements can negatively interact with drugs and alter their absorption, metabolism, and potency. Talk with your healthcare professional before starting a new supplement routine or adding a new one into your regimen.

Although supplements offer many health benefits, you can have too much of a good thing, as overdosing on certain vitamins can lead to negative side effects and in some instances, be dangerous to health. To avoid this, never take more than the recommended dosage.

While some vitamins and minerals work synergistically, there are others that can cause a deficiency when taken simultaneously. This includes combinations like calcium and iron, and zinc and copper. Talk with your healthcare provider to find the right fit for you.

While you can get many nutrients from a healthful, well-balanced diet, you may not get all of them on a regular basis. Therefore, supplements are necessary if you are deficient in certain vitamins and minerals. Research has also shown that certain supplements may have significant benefits for specific groups and indications.

While taking a multivitamin can provide missing vitamins and minerals, it won’t mitigate the other health risks that come with a poor diet.

A diet high in refined sugars, processed foods, and trans fats is often associated with an increased risk of chronic diseases, obesity, inflammation, and even cancer. On the other hand, eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and lean proteins is one of the most effective ways to prevent disease, lower cancer risk, and promote longevity. As such, dietary supplements should be consumed in tandem with a nutritious diet, not in place of it.

Supplements aren’t a waste of money if you invest in the right ones that make up for any shortfalls in your diet and fit your nutritional needs. Supplements are also not a waste of money if you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. These plant-based eating styles tend to fall short in certain vitamins and minerals (such as vitamin B12, omega-3 fatty acids, and iron), so by taking targeted supplements, it can help minimize your risk of nutrient deficiencies.

The smart supplements come in a daily pack with 30 packs total. Each pack will come with specific smart supplements for you to take on a daily basis.

We offer 3 unique panels which you can read about here.

Do not use TRT if you trying to conceive.

3 month prescription of thyroid hormone either sent in to your local pharmacy or shipped to your door from one of our partner pharmacies. We generally use NP Thyroid or Armour Thyroid but your clinician will prescribe based on your unique needs.

For men looking to improve symptoms of thyroid disease due to their own thyroid gland not making enough natural thyroid hormone.

Thyroid hormone therapy is the use of manmade thyroid hormones to raise abnormally low levels of natural thyroid hormones in the body, a condition referred to as hypothyroidism.

VIP Nasal Spray

VIP appears to have an excellent safety profile with a very low incidence of side effects although the FDA has concluded that there is insufficient data to determine the safety of VIP for human use in chronic conditions. When side effects do happen, they tend to be mild in nature. Some reported side effects are low blood pressure, rash, dizziness, irritability, and headaches.

The usual dose is 1 or 2 sprays into each nostril daily.

For men looking to reduce inflammation and improve metabolic health, immune response, joint protection and nutrient absorption.

Single order or monthly recurring subscription of VIP nasal spray.

The usual dose is 1 or 2 sprays into each nostril daily.

Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) is a gut hormone initially identified as a vasodilator. It is known to have numerous effects on the development, growth, and function of neuronal, epithelial, and endocrine cells. These effects influence ion secretion, nutrient absorption, gut motility, glycemic control, carcinogenesis, immune responses, and circadian rhythms.

VIP plays a critical role in maintaining gut immunological tolerance by regulating T cell and Toll-like receptor (TLR)-mediated immune responses. Its anti-inflammatory actions aid in the treatment of various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
